Nawab Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani was born in Thatta Gurmani, Tehsil Kot Addu, in 1905 and had a distinguished political career in Pakistan, serving as Governor of West Pakistan and Interior Minister. He also established the Gurmani Foundation in 1980 to support underprivileged students. While there isn't a direct mention of a "Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani vocational" institute, a Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani Science College exists in Kot Addu, named in his honor, offering various educational programs.
